About RBAA / Our Mission.
Our goal is to train a well-rounded art student that is passionate, with a great work ethic, a vision, and can see, think and make good decisions based on their knowledge of the visual components of art making. We want to prepare students to have a strong foundation so they have more options in the future.
Art is an academic subject. When practicing art at the highest level, it’s no less intellectual than rocket science. So, this is where we come in. We have created a system that is designed to train a student’s observation skill, elements of art, creativity, design strategies and analytical abilities. They are exposed to great masters and designers. They learn to use and control various art material.
Our goal is to bridge the gap between all design disciplines and to help people see that the visual language of art making connects all of these disciplines. Line, shape, value, color texture, edges and pattern are the components of creating a visual language, but it’s how these components are used and manipulated that determine the success or failure (the outcome) of any given design. We believe 100% that the approach to all of these (film, architecture, sculpture, photography, fashion, graphic design, furniture design, interior design, etc.) are the same. Of course, they are different mediums fundamentally, and the end result looks dramatically different between each of these, but the conceptual approach to all of them is the same. We think learning how to see and understand the interconnected relationship between things that look so different is a very meaningful thing. It can enrich your life and open up your world, both in the way you look at it and interact with it. We are setting a new standard for art education.
